Care Worker Caught Out!!
Breaking the Silence on Elder Abuse!
Domiciliary Care Worker Suspended for Financial Abuse
Finally after 8 long months of lies an Ely (Cambridgeshire) Domiciliary Care Worker has been suspended by her employers pending further action on the evidence that has been brought to light that proves what went on and the lies she told to hide her crime of Financial Exploitation of an elderly client in her care.
The woman was called in to a meeting with her bosses at Sutton-based Bartram Home Care on Friday 18th May and asked to leave while a full investigation is now carried out. The company also called in the police and informed Cambridgeshire County Council social services and Cambridgeshire Primary Care Trust, which employs the agency to run care packages for East Cambridgeshire residents in their own homes. It was reported in October 2006 that the care worker accepted money and gifts, including jewellery and furniture, from an 82-year-old Ely man for whom she had been working, but no proper investigation was carried out. Now that evidence has come forward an investigation is said to be taking place.
