A Care Worker who stole from a pensioner was caught on camera

A Care Worker who stole from a pensioner was caught on camera when the victim’s family did their own detective work. The womans family hid cameras in 77-year-old Joyce Nadin’s living room and her bedroom, and daughter Janet Womersley, 46, also marked banknotes with ultraviolet ink. Care worker Michelle Bradshaw was caught on both cameras; one inside an alarm clock and the other on a bedside table. Police found banknotes marked with Mrs Nadin’s name and address in her possession. Bradshaw, 40, admitted six theft charges after taking £ 130 from Mrs Nadin, who has dementia. The care worker, who has been sacked by contractor Care4You, has escaped a jail sentence after magistrates in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, heard she had committed the offences after developing depression illness.

Bradshaw was given a six-month suspended sentence and a 12-month supervision order. Bradshaw, said: I regret it. It’s despicable, going into someone’s house to look after them then stealing from them.
